Ashley Walker is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working in psychiatric oncology research, where she provides psychosocial support to individuals navigating cancer care as part of a collaborative care model for people living with serious mental illness. She earned her Master of Social Work from Florida Atlantic University and has 10 years of experience as a clinical social worker. Ashley has worked in community mental health and private practice, providing therapy and support to children, adolescents, and adults. Throughout her career, she has worked with individuals living with serious mental illness and has collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to promote accessible, compassionate, and person-centered care. Ashley is passionate about the intersection of cancer and mental health and is committed to reducing disparities in care for individuals with serious mental illness. She serves as the social work care manager for the Bridge NET trial of person-centered collaborative care led by Dr. Kelly Irwin, which aims to improve cancer outcomes for patients with cancer and serious mental illness by promoting collaboration across disciplines.
